Kin Cookie Policy

Overview

Cookies and similar storage help websites remember preferences, protect sessions, and measure activity. Kin uses necessary storage for site operation and optional ads measurement only when you accept it.

Necessary storage

Kin uses a necessary, HTTP-only dashboard cookie named `kin_dashboard_unlocked` when an authorized team member opens the password-protected waitlist dashboard. It is limited to the dashboard path and expires after about 8 hours.

Kin may also use security, hosting, and browser storage that is necessary to operate the site, prevent abuse, or remember your cookie preference.

Optional ads measurement

If you accept optional cookies, Kin loads Meta Pixel to measure PageView and Lead events for ads reporting. The Lead event is sent only after a successful waitlist submission and does not include your email address or waitlist answers.

If you reject optional cookies, Kin does not load Meta Pixel in your browser. You can also use browser privacy controls to limit cookies, pixels, and cross-site tracking.

US and EU approach

For EU visitors, Kin treats Meta Pixel and ads measurement as optional tracking that should not load before consent. For US visitors, Kin discloses optional ad measurement and lets you reject it. If a privacy law treats ad measurement as a sale or sharing of personal information, you can reject optional cookies or email us to opt out.
