Kin Privacy Policy

Summary

Kin is currently an early-access waitlist for a private family coordination app. This policy explains the information we collect on kinfamily.net, how we use it, and how to request deletion.

Data we collect

Email address submitted through the waitlist.
Waitlist answers, such as the family member or group you want to hear from more often.
Referral details, including referral codes, referred-by values, share actions, landing paths, timestamps, and queue position.
Site context such as UTM parameters, referrer, source page, user agent, and security or hosting logs.
If you accept optional cookies, Meta Pixel events for PageView and Lead measurement. We do not send your email or waitlist answers in the Meta Pixel Lead event.
A necessary dashboard cookie is used only for the password-protected internal waitlist dashboard.

How we use data

To save your waitlist spot and send early-access updates.
To understand which family use cases people care about.
To operate referral links, sharing, and queue position.
To protect the site, troubleshoot errors, and prevent abuse.
If you consent, to measure whether ads and site visits lead to waitlist submissions.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We use service providers to host the site, store waitlist data, and operate measurement tools. Current providers may include Cloudflare for hosting and storage, and Meta for optional ads measurement if you accept optional cookies.

Some privacy laws treat certain ad measurement as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can reject optional cookies on this site, use browser privacy controls, or email us if you want us to treat your request as an opt-out.

Retention

We keep waitlist information while we operate the early-access list or until you ask us to delete it. We may keep limited records longer when needed for security, legal obligations, backups, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.

Children

The waitlist is intended for adults. Do not submit personal information for a child under 13 through the waitlist. If you believe a child has submitted information to Kin, contact us and we will review the request.

Your choices

To access, correct, or delete waitlist data, email privacy@kinfamily.net.
To request deletion, use https://kinfamily.net/data-deletion.
To review optional tracking, see our Cookie Policy.
If you receive Kin emails, you can ask us to remove you from the waitlist.

US and EU visitors

Kin is operated from the United States. If you visit from the EU, UK, or another region with privacy rights, you may contact us about access, deletion, correction, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of optional cookie consent. We will review requests based on the laws that apply to Kin and the request.
